Runa socks, a sweet collaboration with dear Jule of Woollentwine.
At the beginning of the year, I was kindly invited to design a sock pattern in Jule's new natural and nylon-free sock base, Ovis, a 50% Cheviot, 50% Jacobs yarn dyed in the colours of nature.
What I had in mind for this little pattern that was meant to be published at the end of September (aka the dawn of my favourite season), was a simple and whimsical design that would represent the celebration of nature, harvest, and the beauty of the light at this time of the year.
Brown and beige were my instinctive colour choices for this design, and I must say that Jule did an outstanding job capturing the vision that I had for this sock pattern.
Runa are knit top-down and features simple colorwork, bobbles in the contrasting colour (with a video tutorial provided to guide you though this step), and lastly a few embroidered touches that are added at the end (with another video tutorial to help you).
Wishing you much joy in making these, and also a wonderful beginning of this new season May the light shine with you.
