It's been a while since I added an entry to my "swatches diary", and it's not that I don't have swatches to show you. On the contrary, lately I have been knitting so many swatches, that I'm thinking of getting myself a bigger folder to organise them.
So today I'd like to show you a little swatch that I made almost a year ago actually. I knit it as a sample for my submission for the Pom Pom Quarterly Autumn 15' call out. It's knit out of Blacker Yarns, westcountry Tweed, which is a DK weight yarn. And I have used a 3,75 needle.
Now, where should I start? If you've been following my work, you will know that I have a soft spot for a particular little fern stitch. I have used it in my Canopy shawl and most recently in my Woodland Tales mittens. I haven't used the exact same stitch fir these two patterns, there's actually a lot of different variations to that same stitch. I haven't explored them all, and let me tell you that this won't be the last time that you will see me using it. I already have ideas of new patterns that will reinterprate this stitch, and use it in different ways.
